AJ Ghent [ j-ent ] & His Singing Guitar create healing sounds that take listeners on a nostalgic and soulful melodic safari with luminous rhythmic patterns. The guitar is often compared to the voices of renown R&B and soul singers from the past and present.
AJ hails from Fort Pierce, Florida and works tirelessly to preserve his family’s nearly 100-year-old legacy of making the guitar sing. This family tradition originated in Florida as a style of praise music using lap steel guitars as the primary instrument. The sound was used during worship services in Black Pentecostal churches across the U.S., dating back to the 1930s.
With viral Tik Tok and Instagram videos, AJ is a celebrated songwriter, producer, singer and guitarist with hits that includethe uplifting anthem “Power,” “Mercy” and viral fan favorites, “Let the Guitar Sing,” “Peace of Mind” and “Singing Guitar Vibes.” AJ’s latest album, “Healing Soundwaves,” is also a viral fan favorite with hints of his soulful voice.
